What does it mean to pay no taxes?
Paying no taxes does not mean cheating the IRS. Paying no taxes does not mean hiding something from the IRS or doing something conspicuous and hope the IRS does not find out. There are legitimate ways to pay no taxes. Tax payers who pay no taxes the legitimate way should not fear the IRS or an IRS audit.
How to pay no taxes?
An example of how to pay no taxes is shown here. Imagine a business that is about to pay no taxes to the IRS. Lets call this business "Mike's no taxes business". Mike's no taxes business buys a vehicle for business use costing $25,000. Mike's no taxes business then writes off $25,000 for the vehicle it bought for business use. Mike's no taxes business will not owe the IRS any taxes and hence Mike's no taxes business pays no taxes to the IRS for the vehicle it bought for business use.
Compare this situation to the situation where Mike bought the same vehicle for his personal use. Mike pays $25,000 for the vehicle and Mike is in 30% tax bracket. That means Mike owes the IRS 30% x $25,000 = $7,500. That is $7,500 out of Mike's pocket into the IRS ' pocket.
So in order to pay no taxes, Mike cannot buy the vehicle for his personal use. Mike has to buy the vehicle for business use.
